Eligibility Criteria
An adult is a person over 65 years of age. However, with regard to applying for immigration, a person has the right to come of age if he or she meets the following criteria:
- If you are over 65 and do NOT have a resident of Jammu and Kashmir.
- If you are a resident of Jammu and Kashmir, one must be over 65 years of age. For women, the average age of an adult is 60 years.
You are a resident of Jammu and Kashmir if you fall into one of these three areas:
- You were born in Jammu and Kashmir.
- Your permanent residence is in Jammu and Kashmir
- Your current location is in Jammu and Kashmir.
- This does not apply to Indian nationals who came from other states and were used by the Government of India for official purposes in Jammu and Kashmir.
How do I apply for a Senior Citizen passport in India ?
Seniors don’t need to send a special passport. A good passport is valid for 10 years. Passports are issued as confirmed by the police. The candidate must have a Seva Kendra Passport along with the required applications and documents. There is no plan for anyone else to speak on your behalf.
To apply for a passport, the candidate must apply online and pay the fee.
Seniors can travel without an appointment. Therefore, special storage space is required.

Adult Passport Requirements
