Food Grains

There are many food grains categories, but here we are describing 2 varieties.

Wheat

In India, wheat crops are grown in those regions which receive a rain of 75 cm. These regions should also have productive land or soil. Uttar Pradesh has the rank first in terms of wheat production.

Rice

In terms of the food grain crop production, rice is the main crop, and because of rice, our country holds the second most positions all over the world. Rice crop or production of rice covers around 34% of the whole cropped territory of the country.

In India, rice crops are grown in those regions that receive 125 cm every year. And the average temperature of the rice production place should be 23℃.

In India, rice is grown mainly in the eastern and western shoreline areas, Northeast India, and the drainage basin of the river Ganga. In addition, there are some vital rice production states in India.

Cotton is one of the essential fibre and crops as well in India and in the entire world. It plays a significant role in the agriculture and textile industry of the country. Around 40-50 million people are employed, and approximately 6 million farmers got a better livelihood by cotton production in India. Gujarat is the largest producer of cotton. Apart from Gujarat, It is grown on a large scale in India like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.

Vegetables

There are many Vegetable varieties, but here we are describing 2 types.

Lemon

Lemon is an essential fruit crop. Lemon is one of the most critical categories of citrus. Mainly it is known for its pulp and juice in the world. In India, the production of lemon is done in around 923 thousand hectares with an annual production of 8608 thousand metric tons. In Punjab, lemon production covers 39.20 hectares of land.

Okra (Bhindi)

Okra, known as ladies fingers, is a flowering plant. Okra is a good vegetable that is filled with many good minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and fibre. It is grown in warmer temperature areas and very easy to grow.

Fruit

There are many Fruit varieties, but here we are describing 2 types. 

Coconut 

Coconut is a tropical fruit plant that grows on a large scale in both low and subtropical areas. In India, coconut trees are grown in the entire coastal region. Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are the largest producers of coconut. Apart from Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, It is grown on a large scale in India like Goa, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Orissa. It is used for many purposes like desiccated copra, coconut water, cream flour, oil, cake etc.

Banana

Banana is one of the most essential and economical fruit crops in India. It covers 20% of the area from the total area under many crops in India. Banana is a tropical crop that grows well in the temperature range of 15℃ – 35℃ with humidity of 75% – 85%.
